It doesn’t matter if you come alone, as a couple or as a family, with friends or as part of a tour. Curious about this new adventure companion? Want to know how we’ll get along? Here you can find out a little more about me.
I’m Isabel, this is who I am and how Barroco Guided Tours was born.
Barroco Guided Tours was born without me. Carolina Linares was the visionary, whose dream was to be able to share with those who visited us everything she knew and everything she loved about her home and profession. I worked with her, she was my “maestra”. A source of inspiration to learn from, to improve every day and to appreciate how the work of a good guide can completely change, for the better, the traveler’s experience.
After retiring, she passed the baton to me. Now my job is to continue everything I learned, preserving the same work ethic and enthusiasm so that Barroco Guided Tours continues to be the place where you can go if you want to really get to know Priego de Córdoba and its surroundings.
I was born in Priego de Córdoba. I’ve always adored history and art subjects and also liked to deal directly with the client, so I thought that working in tourism was the right fit for me.
I received my Diploma in Business and Touristic Activities since 2007, working in different positions in hotels, and even managing a small rural site.
In 2010, the hotel where I worked temporarily closed. But I am one of those who think that in life everything happens for a reason and I used that time to further my training with a course in route planning.
This would officially be the starting gun. I realized that the job I loved to do was to travel, and to show what I knew to those who accompanied me.
Since then, I’ve worked as a route guide in circuits throughout Spain and Portugal; and as an official accredited guide in Andalucía, number 1168.
It’s been quite a while now, and I still don’t get tired, every day I enjoy my work more than the day before. This is my vocation.
Always on the lookout for official guides legally authorized to work in monuments and historical sites.
Wanting to know what, how, where, when and why, are with me wherever I go. I love learning new things and researching to find out everything that makes a place special.
Hence, I am always doing training courses and incorporating new destinations to better teach you.
I like to take care of even the smallest detail so that your experience is perfect.
I always welcome you with a smile.
I give thanks every day for working in such beautiful places and having the pleasure of being with others who are discovering them for the first time. Do you want to explore them with me?
I must admit, I have not yet found a way to be in two places at the same time.
One of my priorities is to give you the best service, so you discover wherever you are at your pace, so it don’t worry if you call me and I am with a previous commitment.
We’ll talk about your trip, we’ll plan everything until it is exactly what you’re looking for. I’ll advise you in everything I can, and if, no matter how hard I try, I’m unable to accompany you, one of my talented and passionate colleagues will.
Here are some of the outstanding colleagues with whom I work. They are all experienced guides and of course, they love their profession just as much as I do, so everything will run smoothly.
In addition, I belong to the Association of Tourist Guides of Granada.
You’ll be in good hands.
